Does Testnet Tasks Worth your Attention ?

Testnet have been found to be less rewarding compared to random task or social tasks. According to research only 2% percent of Blockchain projects have reward users for participating in their testnet. However, People seldom mix testnet to community task.

As a tester you have no place in the community until you are part of the community and do the tasks related to community. Project mostly rewards their community.

Don't mix Community and Ambassador task, they are extremely rewarding at their capacity.

You are doing test net ? Do it not to cope Incase one eventually paid well. Don't expect much.

Get some Funds and Start some Retroactives.

Doing testnet that Is not even Incentivized is quite absurd at this moment. Most project needs to take their ground, so they need more mainnet user before rewarding.

Let’s Explore few Testnet since early 2023 (Incentivized or Not)

Before proceeding, It is important to note that Community task is different from Testnet task.

Community task might requires some testnet task and this is strictly for community. This is why some people never get eligible for some Airdrops.

A perfect example was Islamic Coin.

I will split this testnet into 3

- Hyped Testnet
- Incentivized Testnet
- Approved Testnet

Hyped Testnet are Testnet task that are not announced by the project but community thinks project might reward testnet users.

I found this amazing but not a good thought.

This is why 90% of Projects tends to disappoint when people feels desperate for reward.

Celestial Testnet was hyped all over, Guess what ?!

Only Node Runners and active mainnet users who doesn't know they exist got their airdrop.

Anon ! What do you think 🤔

Wanna keep hyping ? I guess you should focus on what matters.

Early this year, I found lots of people doing Layer 2 Testnet when obviously it wasn’t Incentivized and this kind of projects definitely rewards Beta Mainnet Users.

Why the stress ? 🥴

Farm The Mainnet. My dear Farmer

However, Since Aptos Airdrop for Testnet users. Lots of love for Testnet arise.

Aptos is a layer 1 Blockchain, It is expected that they will need T.G.E at Mainnet Launch.

Farming L1 testnet might be rewarding in this case. Aptos was Incentivized. So Airdrop should be expected

Incentives Testnet are approved testnet task provided by a project to help test their Blockchain and get rewards in return.

There is means of exchange at this point and you are meant to expect something In return.

SEI was a Incentivized
VENOM Is currently Incentivized

Nibiru is completely Incentivized

Linea was Incentivized

Aleo is a community focused Blockchain. Only testnet might not qualify you.

Airdrop is expected at this point.

Approve Testnet are quite tricky. The fact that a project announced public testnet and Galxe task doesn't mean it is Incentivized

Anyways, they never announced Incentivized. They only put it out there for interested participants.

Well ! You Recieved an Oats as a reward

At this point, It is almost pointless to drag any project down because of this. They never announced any reward. You are the one expecting it. They can only choose to.

Possible reward can happen in this case.

Cashmere Dex was an approved Testnet

Scroll, Taiko and Shardeum.

Anon ! I know what you think right there ! 🥴

The next 1% might be you. 😃

Consistency is the key here. Atleast, Filter the noise and focus on few Testnet.

This Article is not to discourage testnet but call your attention into focusing on what matters.

Do testnet tasks to avoid coping.

Ensure you filter the ones that have potential reward and focus more.

Reserve that energy into what matters. Devs Farm too. Don't be the Farmee.
